Washington Men's Gymnastics is
not just any collegiate program. National team members,
world competitors, and new incredible skills have been
born on this team, Mike
Williams (the first American to compete a
triple back on the floor), Jeff
Johnson (8th on the rings at the world
championships 2002), and Jeff
Crockett (first in the world to perform a
double twisting jäger) are among many of the great Husky
gymnasts to come through this program.
Like any other team in the
nation, being a part of this team requires much of your
time and energy. The team becomes your family, the gym
becomes your home, and coach
Mark Russo becomes your mentor through one of
the toughest transitions in a young man's life.
"I have learned and
experienced so much, and am truly grateful for the
opportunity to be a part of something so special. Its
hard to put into words how much being a part of this
team means to me, Life long friendships, traveling to
foreign lands, competing with the best... it was so much
more than I ever expected."
-Jeff Crockett
